Capped vs Uncapped
WPC decking consists of 2 types: the capped & uncapped.
WPC decking boards without caps are usually less expensive. Despite being durable and water-resistant, the material does not offer the same level of stain and color fading protection.
Compared with uncapped WPC decks, capped decking boards are usually covered with an protective covering that offers extra protection against the severe environment and daily use. They are also more impervious to fade and stain.
